Design Roadies ongoing 'Till the end of time' contest: Original designs submitted by Roadies are scored by fellow Roadies. Based on final scores we will announce the winning design every month. The designer will win Rs 3000 cash and 2000 DesignRoadie points.
Apart from the ongoing contest, there will be regular theme based contests as well. Prizes, rules and guidelines for these contests will vary based on the contest and theme. Find out more about the contests on the contests page.
Winning design is selected primarily based on number of votes and the score of each vote. However certain other factors like comments received from other members, and review by Design Roadies team are also taken into consideration for deciding the winner.
You can submit your design through the 'Submit Designs' page in the Participate section.
Fill in the details like Design Title (which captures the essence of the design), background story (a brief write up on the design) etc.
Since there might be more than one design contests running at a time make sure to choose the right contest for which you want to submit your entry
Upload your design/ artwork in jpg, gif or png format. Artwork image uploaded must be 140 px by 110 px (width by height) and the artwork with model image (for placement of design) must be 700px by 350px (width by height). Other dimensions might not appear properly.
Submit an image of placement of your design/ artwork using one of pictures of our models included in the design submission kit.
Use our design submission kit to submit your design. The kit contains a template which gives the colour options for the product available to you, and an outline of the product. You need to place your design on the product outline for submission.
Once you submit the design it will go through an internal screening process to check basic things like quality of image etc. after which it'll be up for voting. Click here to download design submission kit.
What tools/ software can i use to aid the designing process?
There are many different programs that will work. We normally use Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw or Inkscape. You can download Inkscape from http://www.inkscape.org/download/

Why can't I see my submitted design in the voting section?
After a design is submitted, it goes through an internal screening process before being accepted into our voting section or getting rejected. This may take weeks depending on how busy we are in shipping your orders :) Just kidding...initial screening will be completed in maximum 48 hours of design submission. If you still can't see your design you can write to us at participate@designroadies.com.
Can I have my designs removed after I've submitted?
We're sure once you are a part of this community you would like to make use of it to the fullest by getting feedback on your designs. However, for any reason you may still want to remove your design, you can do that after 90 days. Just email us at participate@designroadies.com and let us know which design you'd like to be removed and we'll do the needful. This will take normally 3-4 working days. However, if in 90 days the design gets chosen as the winning design then DesignRoadies acquires exclusive rights to the design and its use.
Can I resubmit my design for voting if my score is low?
We are sure that you will take into account the verdict of your fellow Roadies. You can incorporate the comments and suggestions on your original design, modify it and then send us a mail at participate@designroadies.com with the new design so that we can update the same..
You may choose to accept the payment through cheque, Electronic Bank transfer or in form of Gift Certificates. If your design is chosen as winner, on receiving the notification mail you need to reply to that mail mentioning the preferred payment mode with all other relevant details.

Who holds the rights to the designs submitted on DesignRoadies?
Till 90 days of submission of the design/ artwork DesignRoadies holds exclusive right on it and also when selected as the winning design, DesignRoadies has exclusive rights to use the winning design on its products. Please refer to terms of use for more details.
We want our Roadies to be our brand ambassadors, though Hrithik Roshan, Aamir Khan, Kareena Kapoor, Katrina Kaif and the likes are also welcome :) So we are looking for all you beautiful DesignRoadies out there to pose as models for us. Just submit a photo of yours sporting our products. If your photo gets chosen by our team you stand to become our Style Icon and win great prizes.
On submission and acceptance of your photo you will receive 20 DesignRoadie points. In case you get chosen as our StyleIcon you will receive additional reward points and an opportunity to feature on our site.
You can submit your photo through 'Be a Style Icon' page in the participate section. a. Choose the product title you are sporting in the photo b. Share with us what your liked about the design and the product c. Upload your photo in jpg, gif or png format. Please note the image size should be 180 px in width and 150 px in height
On becoming Style Icon you receive additional 30 DesignRoadie points, so total 50 cool DesignRoadie points :) You can use these points to buy great products available at our site.
You need to be a DesignRoadie to score designs, in other words you need to be a member of the community. Once you have registered, you can begin voting for designs in the 'Score Designs' section which can be accesses through Participate menu on homepage.
I noticed a design which was posted on some other site as well, what should I do?
On each design detail page, there is a 'Report abuse' button. Click on it and provide the required details in the form. Make sure to provide the URL where the design is copied from. You may also write to us at copyright@designroadies.com.
Appropriate action will be taken against the designer.

DesignRoadie points is our way of showing appreciation for your involvement in making this community more interesting. You earn DR points by engaging in various activities at out site. These points can be redeemed against purchases on the site.

Points are given for:
submitting a photo to the gallery, which gets approved: 20 points
You will not be awarded points for placing orders using your own link.
To Redeem
You can apply points during the checkout process along with billing information. Under "Billing Information", there's a section stating the amount of DesignRoadie points you have. Each DesignRoadie point is worth INR 1.00. In the field given, enter the number of points to redeem and click 'Update'. The amount of the DesignRoadie points will reduce the amount payable accordingly. Any unused points will remain in your account to be used in the future.
Browse through the 'Shop' section until you find the product of your choice. You can also use 'Search' to look for a design using the design's name, designer's name or/ and tags.
On the product detail page click on the required size to add 1 quantity of that product in selected size to your shopping bag. You can increase the number of items of this product in checkout process.
You can continue to add other products or same product with different specifications by pressing the 'Continue Shopping' button or press the 'Checkout!' button to proceed to checkout process.
If you click 'Continue Shopping', you can add other products to your order following the above steps.

About Gift Certificates DesignRoadies Gift Certificates are a perfect gift! Gift certificates may be emailed to the recipient through our website or printed to give. Gift certificates are available in Rs100, Rs250, and Rs500 amounts. This gives the recipient of gift certificate a flexibility to buy the product of his/her choice. However a Gift Certificate cannot be used for an order value greater than the value of the Certificate.
How To Purchase Gift Certificates are available for purchase from Gift Certificate page. They can be purchased online, as any other product, through payment or by redeeming DesignRoadie points.
How To Redeem The Gift Certificate code will be written on the certificate in the email notification that the recepient will receive. It can be redeemed with any order of value not exceeding the value of the Gift Certificate, however it cannot be combined with any other payment mode, To redeem the code: a. How To Give? During checkout, enter your email address so you can receive the email confirmation. In the confirmation email, click on the "Send it to a Friend" link. You'll be given the option to either print out the gift certificate and give it to the recipient -OR- enter their email address and have the gift certificate emailed to them. Do not enter the recipient's email address during checkout or they will receive your order confirmation!
No, gift certificates can only be used with one order. However the balance value of Gift Certificate will reflect as non-encashable DesignRoadie points which you can use while placing other orders.

How do I subscribe or unsubscribe from the newsletter?
You can subscribe/unsubscribe to the newsletter through your profile. You can also mail us at accounts@designroadies.com with 'Subscribe' or 'Unsubscribe' as the subject of the mail.
All of our shirts are printed using state-of-the-art screen-printing processes and other apparel embellishment techniques, including soft-hand inks, water-based inks, specialty inks, foils, flocks, appliques, and embroidery.
Our shirts tend to fit in between a basic fit tee and a slim fit. You can check out our size charts here. Please note that the measurements we give in our size charts have a variance of +/- 1 inch.
The measurements on the size chart are of the tee shirt, not your body, so we recommend measuring a tee that fits you well. To determine the width, measure just under the armholes on one side of the garment. To determine the length, measure from the shoulder seam to the bottom seam of the tee. Be sure to add 0.5 to 1 inch on both measurements to account for shrinkage. Compare your measurements to the size chart to see what size best suits you.
All tees may vary up to one inch (industry standard) from the measurements stated on the size chart.
Are there any specific washing instructions for apparels?
Machine wash cold. Wash dark colors separately. Tumble dry low. Do not iron on print and on any other embellishment. While the tees are guaranteed against shrinkage, there might be some shrinkage on the first wash.
What if I don't like the product I received as my order?
If you don't like what you received or if the product is defected, please send us a mail at service@designroadies.com and we will revert with complete return instructions. We will replace it with any other product of your choice of same value or refund your payment. Please make sure that the product is returned in the same condition as received.
We are confident that you will be happy with our products. If for any reason you are not totally satisfied with your order within 30 days (60 days for international orders) from the date of purchase, simply send an email to service@designroadies.com and request a return authorization number. In the email please include your order number found on your packing slip or in the order confirmation email received when the order was placed. All returned products must be unworn and unwashed (no exceptions). Exchanges must be made for shirts of equal or lesser value. Return shipping charges are the responsibility of the customer unless the return is due to a product defect or a shipping error on the part of DesignRoadies.
If the return is due to a mistake on our part (i.e. we shipped you the wrong shirt or the shirt has a defect), we will reimburse you for the return shipping costs as long as you use a standard shipping method. If you are returning a shirt because you are not happy with it or want to exchange it for a different shirt, then you are responsible for the shipping costs. Before you ship anything back to us, please email service@designroadies.com first so we can provide you with complete return instructions. Also, make sure you include your order # in the email.
Can I exchange the product I have received with some other product?
Ofcourse you can. You will be required to pay us the price differential. Please include your credit card number so we can charge you for the difference. But you will not be refunded for any price difference if you are exchanging for a lower value product. Alternatively you can return the product and ask for a refund; and place a fresh order for the new product.
